RC 2 — Confirmed
The screen-equipped RC 2 is a supported choice for Air 3 and Air 3S.
RC-N2 — Confirmed
The phone-based RC-N2 is also supported by both aircraft. Check the phone connection and DJI Fly as part of diagnosis.
RC-N3 — Confirmed for Air 3S
DJI’s Air 3S FAQ also lists RC-N3. Do not extend that listing to another aircraft without checking it.
Other names — Unconfirmed in this guide
DJI RC, RC-N1 and RC 2 are different products. Check the exact aircraft/controller pair instead of relying on appearance.
If it will not connect
- Confirm the controller’s printed model and select the correct aircraft in DJI Fly.
- Check charge levels and follow the app’s firmware update prompts for both devices.
- For RC-N2, check the phone data cable and app connection before attempting aircraft linking.
- Follow DJI Fly’s linking instructions with the aircraft safely on the ground. Do not assume a saved connection transfers automatically to a different drone.
- If linking still fails, note the exact error and contact support before ordering hardware.
Buying a replacement
For a used controller, ask the seller to demonstrate its operation and resolve any account-binding issue before payment. Physical compatibility alone does not prove the unit is ready to use.
