Drone Battery Won’t Charge? Diagnose the Problem Before Replacing It
A battery that will not charge is not always a failed battery. Use this sequence to narrow the fault before buying a replacement.
First
Inspect for battery damage
Then
Test power, cable and another battery
Finally
Compare aircraft and hub charging
1. Test the power source
Try another outlet.
Use another suitable charger.
Use another known-good cable.
2. Test another battery
If another compatible battery charges normally, the first battery is more likely at fault. If neither charges, continue checking the shared charging equipment.
3. Aircraft vs hub
Charges in aircraft, not hub
Check the hub, charger and cable.
Charges in hub, not aircraft
Check the aircraft port and charging path.
Charges nowhere
Check battery, charger, cable and then deeper faults.
