Battery choices

Air 3 battery in Air 3 — Confirmed

The original model-specific battery is the baseline. Check condition and authenticity as well as the printed model name.

Air 3S battery in Air 3 — Confirmed

DJI’s Air 3S battery listing includes Air 3. That does not add Air 3S-only aircraft features to Air 3.

Third-party or rebuilt pack — Unconfirmed

A similar casing or claimed capacity is not evidence of safe fit, electronics or firmware support.

Before charging or flying

  • Inspect the casing, contacts and latches. Do not use or charge a swollen, leaking, punctured or impact-damaged battery.
  • Allow a hot pack to cool and use the temperature limits in the exact battery instructions.
  • Seat the pack securely without force. A damaged latch is a repair issue, not something to work around.
  • Follow any battery update prompt in DJI Fly before normal use; do not interrupt the update.

Charging fault or worn battery?

Every battery fails

Check the power adapter, cable and charging pathway first.

Only one pack fails

If it is undamaged, compare it with a known-good pack using the same charging setup. Stop if heat, swelling or an error appears.

Charges but behaves abnormally

Record the battery warning and arrange assessment instead of testing the fault in flight.
